It seems that my nightmares have returned. Here is a particularly interesting one.
The one thing that I remember most vividly about my dream is the blackness. It was dark, so dark. No amount of light could ever have lit my surroundings, could ever have freed me from the bonds that night kept me in.
As far as I could tell, I was traveling with my family. But it was a special kind of travel. We were all dressed in clothes that would have made people in the 19th century proud. But we were not in the 19th century. We were in the future. We were either in a boat that was going through space (it was kind of a mix between space and the sea in the blackest part of the night), or we were in a spaceship. But then all of sudden, things got bad. Everyone on our boat disappeared, and we were the only ones left, and we were running for our lives. We jumped into a boat thing, and started going as fast as we could, in any direction that would get us away from the death trap, as were calling it.
Finally, we found an abandoned ship/spaceship. it was more like a freighter thing though. When we got there, we divided up the sections of the boat, and each of us had to defend a section of it. All that we knew about the people who wanted to kill us was there was a lot of them, and that they wanted to kill us and eat us, and not necessarily in that order. Our only hope of surviving was to make sure that they didn't get on to our spaceship/boat thing.
My mom had the attic thing to defend, and she did the best job of it. I really couldn't defend my section, so I did the best I could, and then ran to help my mom. For some reason, my dad never came to join us. He didn't get eaten or anything, he kind of just disappeared.
I don't know what happened after that. It's like my dream just skipped a period of time. The next thing I knew, I was back on earth, in normal time, in normal clothes, with my friends. The only weird thing was my feet. I remember thinking that they hurt, and I looked down, and my feet were so cracked and cut that they were bleeding all over the place, and I couldn't get it to stop, and I didn't know why they were like that. I couldn't walk, and just as I was starting to panic, and be thrown back onto that freighter, I woke up.
And that is it. Not nearly as detailed as they normally are, but still just as intense. Even now, almost 18 hours after I woke up, I am still freaked out from how terrified I was during that dream.
Pretty crazy soph! Keep it up, love you.
